FAQs

  • We want our studio to be a space where you can focus on yourself and leave outside distractions at the door, therefore we ask all clients to keep their phones on silent and left in bags. Of course, in extenuating circumstances where you need to keep it on you, just have a word with the instructor before class.

You should arrive at least five minutes prior to the class start time. In order to maintain the flow, and due to health and safety, we won’t be able to allow anyone to join class more than five minutes after the start time.

You must be 18 or over to attend our Barre classes. 16-18 year olds can attend if accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, we can’t have anyone under the age of 16 in our classes (unless otherwise specified). Furthermore, it is not possible for children/teens to wait in or outside the studio during classes.

  • Let's keep it simple: Barre is the workout that packs a punch while being gentle on your joints.

Here's the deal: We use your own body weight, light dumbbells, and resistance bands to build muscle endurance and strength. Each class takes on all your major muscle groups, using precise, controlled movements to sculpt and strengthen.

What's more? Our weight-bearing exercises boost bone density, and the low-impact style ensures joint health without the strain.

Join us at Collabarre8 for a workout that's tough, effective, and kind to your body.

  • During your visit to Collabarre8, you can expect a friendly welcome from our instructor team. Our studio is downstairs and they will meet you at the door to the studio. For your first visit, you should arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the class so we can give you a proper introduction to our studio - make sure any waivers are signed etc. The instructor will show you around and discuss any injuries or concerns and answer any questions you might have.

Our classes are kept small so you will be well looked after and any equipment you might need will be at the studio.

  • Make sure to wear clothes that don’t restrict your range of motion, i.e. something stretchy and comfortable.

We recommend wearing grippy socks for class. You can bring your own or purchase some at the studio.

  • All the equipment needed for the class is provided.

We avoid using any single-use, disposable products, so ask that you bring a bottle for water. We have filtered water that you can refill with.

We don’t provide sweat-towels, so bring one with you if this is something you like to have.

  • We have spaces to change and provide some products for your use. Unfortunately we do not have shower facilities.

  • Our address is:

    Basement, 75 Haverstock Hill

    NW3 4SL

We are below the nail bar, Nail Lovers. When you head through our front door, head down the corridor and then down the stairs.

We are a five minute walk from Chalk Farm station, and the 1 and 168 buses stop right outside. There is parking at the end Steele’s Road and Eton Road, just off Haverstock Hill.

    description

  • We ask that clients arrive at least five minutes prior to the class start time, in order to sign in and get set up.

We are unable to allow clients to join a class if they arrive more than five minutes after the start time of the class. This is for health and safety reasons, as the majority of the warm up will have been missed, and to reduce disruption to the class for the rest of the participants. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made to this rule.

You can cancel your booking with no penalty up to 12 hours before the start time of your booked class. If on an unlimited membership, you will be charged £5 for a late cancellation and £10 for no-shows (this is due to there being limited space in each class). If you have a class pack and late cancel or no-show, you will lose the credit.

  • Our instructors will sometimes use hands-on corrections to help you get into the right position and ensure you are doing the exercises correctly to get the most out of the workout. Instructors will check that you are comfortable with this and you should feel confident requesting them to use only verbal cues.

  • Absolutely! Barre is easily modifiable to suit every-body. During class, instructors will demo an exercise and then offer modifications to suit whoever is in the room - this could be an advanced option or a way to strip the exercise down, make it safer or reduce the intensity.

Alternatively, we keep our class sizes small in order to ensure everyone who attends gets the attention they need and deserve.

  • Absolutely! In fact, physical movement can often be hugely beneficial during pregnancy.

We would always ask that you check with your doctor before starting exercising, especially if you are considering trying something new.

We recommend booking a 1-1 session with one of our trainers to go through the modifications you will need to make throughout your pregnancy. While our instructors will always do our best to look after you and provide alternatives during class, it is empowering to know how to make changes yourself, and also is the most efficient way to get a good workout in a class setting.
